Pin Seekers Senior Golf Association: Hereafter called Pin Seekers, is a self-supporting not for profit organization with no paid employees. Pin Seekers conduct reasonable cost golf tournaments on a day suitable to the golf course.
Annual Tournament Schedule: Pin Seekers normally play 24 tournaments each year. All Pin Seekers tournaments are normally scheduled for the first and third Mondays of each month. When a holiday falls on the first or third Monday, tournament play is normally scheduled for the Tuesday after the holiday.
Dues: January through December 2018 dues are $20 for each member of Pin Seekers.
Eligibility: All senior golfers over the age of 50. Anyone wishing to join Pin Seekers should complete the application on this web site. Once the application is submitted, the Secretary and the Reservations Chairman get a copy and the individual will receive a telephone call from the Secretary.
Flight (FLT): All Pin Seekers tournaments are divided into four equal flights (A, B, C and D) based on Points to Pull (PTP) of all members on the play list.
Initiation Fee: A one-time $25 fee for all personnel joining Pin Seekers for the first time.
Master Hole Assignments: Threesome and foursomes who want to play together are normally assigned a specific hole to start play on at all tournaments. When there are no Master Holes Assignments available, the records of all members who want to play together are marked and the Reservations Chairman will try to keep those members together when they play in a tournament.
Membership: Pin Seekers membership is a maximum of 180 golfers. Should a golfer want to join and the roster is full, the golfer is placed on a waiting-to-join list until there is an opening.
Play List: Pin Seekers normally play a maximum of 128 members in each tournament. Members who have signed the top of the previous tournament scorecard when playing in the previous tournament are on the next tournament play list. The Reservations Chairman will complete the play by contacting members who are on that tournament standby list or by call other members on the roster.
Points to Pull (PTP): Pin Seekers uses the modified Stapleton points systems in lieu of an actual golfing handicap system. Tournament players receive six point (6) for an eagle, four (4) points for a birdie, two (2) points for a par, one (1) point for a bogies and no points for double bogies or higher. A member’s PTP is the average of the points pulled in the most recent six tournaments.
Roster: The list of all members who have paid their dues for the calendar year.
Pin Seekers Scorecards: Pin Seekers prepares its own unique golf course scorecards for all tournaments.
Tournament Fees: In 2018 the fee to play in each tournament is $35.
Tournament Hole Assignments: The hole a player is assigned to start on in a tournament.
Tournament Registration Table: The table to register and pay your tournament fees opens at 7:00 for every tournament and closes at 7:30.
Tournament Standby List: A list of the members, not on the play list that want to play in a tournament. Members on a tournament standby list are contacted in the order they have signed up to complete the tournament play list.
Tournament Start Times: Start times will be 8:00 or as determined by the Golf Course professional.
Waiting to Join List: When the Pin Seekers Roster is complete, individuals wanting to join Pin Seekers are placed on a Waiting To Join List until there is an opening in the membership.
